1 pkg. Yeast
1/2 c Warm Water
1/2 c Boiling Water
1/2 c Shortening
1/3 c Sugar
1/3 c Bran Flakes (Stoneburr)
3/4 t Salt
1 Egg
3 c All Purpose Flour, sifted

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Pour boiling water over shortening in mixing bowl. Stir in sugar, bran flakes. Cool to lukewarm. Add egg to bran mixture. Stir in yeast and mix well. Stir in flour 1/2 cup at a time. Cover and let rise in a warm place until almost doubled (about 2 1/2 hours). Punch down and drop by spoonfuls into greased muffin tins. Let rise to double (about an hour). Bake 375° oven for 15 - 20 minutes.
