1/2 c. warm water
1 tbsp. butter, softened
1 egg
2 1/4 c. Gold Medal Bread flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. bread yeast

Directions:
Directions:
Combine ingredients and select sweet dough cycle on bread machine or . . . combine yeast, warm water and 1 tbsp. sugar in a glass or ceramic bowl and let sit in a warm place until foamy. Combine remaining tbsp. of sugar and other dry ingredients in mixer bowl. Add yeast mixture and egg. Mix for several minutes using dough hook. Let rise for one hour in a warm place. Punch down.

Grease cookie sheet or cake pan. Form rolls from the dough. Baste with butter. Let rise until double (approx. 40 minutes). Bake at 375º for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown. Can double recipe or make 1 1/2.
