2 c. butter
2 tsp. baking soda
5 c. blended oatmeal (measure first then blend)
2 c. brown sugar
1 8oz. Hershey bar, grated
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
24 oz. bag chocolate chips, 1/2 milk chocolate; 1/2 semi-sweet
1 tsp. salt
4 eggs
3 c. chopped nuts (your choice)

1. Measure oatmeal and blend to a fine powder. Cream butter and both sugars.
2. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda. Add chocolate chips, Hershey bar and nuts.
3. Roll into balls and place 2" apart on a cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 375º.

Makes 112 cookies, can be cut in half.

This recipe is huge. Several suggestions include: before adding the chips, nuts and Hershey bar, put dough in a big pot or bowl. Then add chips, etc. Knead dough by hand to mix all. Use baking stones instead of cookie sheets. Use medium baller to spoon evenly onto baking stones. Don't overcook.
