1/2 cup chopped onion
3 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. sugar
1 1 pound 12 ounce can tomatoes
1 small bay leaf
6 hard-cooked eggs
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp. prepaid mustard
3/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
2 tbsp. butter, melted

Directions:
In skillet, cook onion in 3 Tbsp. butter till tender. Blend in flour, sugar 3/4 tsp. salt and dash pepper. Add tomatoes and bay leaf. Cook till thick and bubbly, stirring constantly. Remove bay leaf. Pour into 10X6X1 1/2 baking dish. Prepare deviled eggs. Halves eggs lengthwise, remove yolks and mash. Mix with mayonnaise, mustard, 1/8 tsp. salt and dash of pepper. refill eggs white. Put in dish. Combine crumbs and melted butter, sprinkle a top. Bake 425 for 10 minutes or till hot. Serve over buttered noodles or toast.
