Chicken Ala King Recipe

2 Tbsp butter
1/2 c chopped green pepper
1 oz sliced mushrooms
2 Tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 c fat-free half & half
3 c cooked diced chicken
1/2 c melted butter
3 egg yoks
1 tsp onion juice
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp paprika

Melt 2 Tbsp butter in frying pan. Add pepper and mushrooms. Cook 3-4 minutes. Add flour and salt and cook until frothy. Add half & half. Place in top of double boiler and add meat. Cover and cook until very hot.

Cream together remaining ingredients. Stir into chicken mixture and stir until egg thickens.

Serve over crisp toast or biscuits.
