Cake:
1 (8oz) box chopped dates
1 lb. candy orange slices cut in small pieces
1 sm cn. angel flaked coconut
2 c. chopped pecans
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 t. baking soda dissolved in 1/2 c. buttermilk

Glaze:
1 c. orange juice
2 c. confectioners sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add flour, alternately with milk. Roll nuts, candy and coconut in flour. Add along with dates to the batter. Bake in preheated oven 250º in tube pan for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Mix orange juice and sugar. Pour orange glaze over cake as cake is taken from the oven. Let stand in pan over night.
