1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 T. light corn syrup
1 loaf French bread, diagonally cut into 16 1"slices
5 eggs
2 c. milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
1'4 c. chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In medium bowl with past blender, combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Press in botton of unbuttered 15"x10" baking pan. Place bread slices on top of mixture. Beat eggs, milk, spices, and vanilla until well blended and pour evenly over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Heat oven to 350º. Sprinkle with pecans. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until light golden brown.
