CAKE:
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
5 egg yolks
2 cups flour
1 tsp soda
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
1 small can coconut
1 cup chopped nuts
5 egg whites, stiffly beaten

CREAM CHEESE ICING:
1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese
1/2 stick margarine
1 box confectioners sugar
1 tsp vanilla
chopped nuts

Directions:

CAKE:
Cream margarine and shortening; add sugar and beat until mixture is smooth.
Add egg yolks and beat well.
Combine flour and soda and add to creamed mixture. Add buttermilk. Stir in vanilla.
Add coconut and nuts. Fold in egg whites.
Pour into 3 greased and floured pans.
Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
Frost with cream cheese icing.

CREAM CHEESE ICING:
Beat cream cheese, margarine and sugar together until creamy. Add vanilla and as many chopped nuts as you like.
