1 can (4 oz) diced green chilies
6 large cilantro sprigs, leaves only
1 small white onion, coarsely chopped
1/2 c. green taco sauce
1 garlic clove, coarsely chopped
6 tsp. salt, divided
1/2 lb. spaghetti or other dried pasta
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. heavy cream
4 oz. white cheddar cheese, shredded (about 1 cup)

Puree diced green chilies in a blender or food processor with cilantro, onion, green taco sauce and garlic; set aside. Bring large pot of water to boil and add 5 tsp. of salt. Add spaghetti and cook according to package directions.

While spaghetti cooks, heat butter in medium sauce pan over medium heat. When butter foams, add chili mixture. Cook, partially covered, 10 to 12 minutes. Stir in cream and remaining 1 tsp. salt. Drain spaghetti when done to your taste. Return to pot, pour chili sauce over spaghetti and toss to combine well. Sprinkle cheese over spaghetti and serve immediately.
