6 lbs of spare ribs, cut up
5 medium onions, chopped
1 can of tomato juice
4 cans of button mushrooms
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp garlic powder or 6 cloves of fresh garlic minced
3 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp black pepper
3 tbsp crushed red pepper
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
3 tbsp oregano leaves
1 1/2 tbsp chili powder
salt and pepper

Cut up ribs, salt and pepper each piece. Brown the ribs under the broiler or in a fry pan. In the 6-quart pan, pour in one can of tomato juice, 4 cans of button mushrooms, onions, and add meat once it is browned. Add all the seasonings listed above. Add water to your liking (I like it brothy). Cook until the meat is tender.
