2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c butter, softened
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp almond extract
1/2 pt sour cream
1 - 8 oz can whole cranberry sauce
1/2 c chopped nuts
Confectioner's sugar

Sift flour with baking powder, baking soda and salt. In large mixing bowl beat butter; when creamy, add sugar 1/4 c at a time, beating well after each addition. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Mix in almond extract. Stir in sifted dry ingredients, about 1/4 at a time, alternating with the sour cream. Spoon half the butter into a greased 9" tube or 10" bundt pan. Add half the cranberry sauce and swirl it through the batter. Spoon remaining batter evenly over the top and then the remaining cranberry sauce. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake 55 minutes in 350 oven. Cool for 15 minutes before turning out cake. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar if desired. Serve warm.
