1 c butter, softened
1/2 c shortening
1 (16 oz) pkg brown sugar
1/2 c sugar
5 large eggs
1/2 tsp baking powder
3 c flour
1 c milk
2 tbsp vanilla
1 c pecans, chopped
Cream Cheese Frosting:
1/2 c butter, softened
1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
2 tsp vanilla
1 (16oz) pkg powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter and shortening in a large mixing bowl; cream together, adding sugars gradually, until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition. Combine dry ingredients; blend into creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour, and beating well after each addition. Add vanilla and pecans; mix well. Pour batter into a greased and floured 10" tube pan. Bake at 350º for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool in pan 10 minutes; invert on wire rack to cool completely. Frost with Cream Cheese frosting:
Combine all frosting ingredients, mixing until smooth.
