1 lb. hamburger
1 lb. mild sausage
1 large onion, diced
1 c. mushrooms, sliced
2 small cans tomato paste -- Italian style
2 tbsp. olive oil
4 large cans (32 oz) tomato sauce
1/2 c. dried parsley
1/2 tsp. oregano
2 tsp. crushed garlic
salt and pepper

Brown hamburger, sausage, onions, and mushrooms in pan. Add to stock pot with remaining ingredients. Simmer 1-1/2 hours, stirring frequently.

This makes a big pot of spaghetti sauce, so I usually put at least half of it in the freezer. This is the sauce that I use to make my lasagna with, which is a favorite of both Dad's and Kevin's.
