I don't have a recipe for Kolaches, but I loved it when Mom made them. Basically she used a sweet bread dough, which she rolled out and cut into circles with a Parker House roll cutter. After the circles rose a bit, she punched down the very centers, let them rise a little more and baked them on a cookie sheet. When ready to serve, she filled the "well" with prune filling, and frosted the rim with powdered sugar icing. Yum! They were delicious.

In winter, we were able to store the Vinerterta and kolaches in ta huge roaster pan in our farm house's enclosed and unheated porch.
