2 lbs. hash brown potatoes (thawed about 15 minutes)
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. margarine or butter, melted
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 c. sour cream
2 c. crushed corn flakes or French fried onion

Directions:

Mix all ingredients and bake uncovered in a 9" x 13" pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Top with corn flakes or French fried onions. Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
