2/3 c shortening or 3/4 c oil
1 2/3 c sugar
2 1/2 c flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 1/4 c bananas (about 2 or 3 bananas)
2/3 c butter melted
2 lg eggs
2/3 c nuts

Mix all ingredients together. Bake 30-35 minutes at 350º in 2 loaf pans.

Grandma Durkin's noted: "I found it takes longer to cook in Electric ovens- for large loave pan 60 minutes and smaller loaf pans 35-40 minutes."
