Dough:
1 cup white sugar,
1/2 cup shortening,
1 egg,
1/2 cup sour milk,
2 1/2 cups flour,
1 tsp. baking powder,
1/4 tsp. baking soda
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Filling:
1 cup raisins,
1/2 cup nuts (pecans),
pinch of salt,
1 tbsp. flour,
1/2 cup sugar,
1/2 cup water

Dough:
mix sugar, shortening, egg, vanilla,
then add sour milk, flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder. Roll mixture flat with rolling pin on floured surface. Cut into round cookies.

Filling: Mix all ingredients together and bring to a boil.
Put a spoonful of filling on each cookie, Put another cookie on top and pinch the edges together.
Bake 350º for 15 minutes.
