Softened butter to grease molds.
2 eggs
1/4 c. and 2 T. sugar
1/2 t. vanilla
3/4 c. flour
1/4 t. baking powder
1/8 t. salt
6 T. butter, melted, cooled slightly
Confectioners sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Grease madeleine mold with softened butter
making sure to get into all the indentations..
Beat eggs with sugar until very thick; add vanilla.
Mix baking powder and salt; add to flour. Fold in
flour mixture alternately with melted butter into egg
mixture. Fill each shell with 1 T. of batter, bake until
delicately browned approx.10 min. Remove from
pan and cool on wire racks. Just before serving
sprinkle lightly with confectioners sugar.
