2 c. flour,sifted
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. Oleo
3/4 c. Crisco
1 c. white sugar
1 c. cooked pumpkin
1/2 c. pecans or dates(chopped)

3 tbsp. oleo
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. confectioner's sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream Crisco, oleo, and sugar,. Add pumpkin. Mix. Add dry ingredients and mix. Add vanilla and nuts/dates and mix. Drop by teaspoons onto lightly greased baking sheet and bake at 350 5-7 minutes.
Icing:Mix butter oil, sugar and egg. Boil 2 minutes and add confectioner's sugar and vanilla. Mix and spread on pumpkin cookies.
