1/2 c. milk (evaporated 1/2 & 1/2)
2 c. sugar
lump of butter (size of walnut)
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Chopped nuts if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar, milk and butter until it forms a soft ball in cold water. Add vanilla and beat until ready to pour. Add nuts. Pour into buttered dish.

We usually make this around Christmas. I remember it was always in Aunt Cora's candy dish.
