1 Box Duncan Hines Cake Mix, flavor of your choice

3 eggs
1 stick margarine, melted
1 - 1lb. box confectioners sugar
1 - 8 oz. cream cheese, softened

Directions:
Directions:
Melt margarine in 9 x 13 pan, add cake mix and 1 egg. Mix well and flatten this mixture into the bottom of the pan. Mix cream cheese and 2 eggs with mixer and then add powdered sugar. Pour this mixture on top of the cake mix mixture in the bottom of the pan. Bake at 325º for about 45 minutes. Don't overbake.

My favorite cake mix to use is lemon to make lemon chess squares.For plain chess squares, I use Duncan Hines Yellow cake mix--not the Butter Recipe.
