3 Cups cut Rhubarb
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Tbsp. corn starch
1/4 Cup water
1 tsp. vanilla

1 1/2 Cups oatmeal
1 Cup brown sugar
1 Cup Shortening (part oleo)
1/2 Cup walnuts chopped
1 1/2 Cup Flour
1/2 tsp. soda

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375ºF
Mix cornstarch with sugar then add rhubarb,water and vanilla. Cook until thick. Cool
Mix together oatmeal, brown sugar, shortening and walnuts until crumbly.
Pat 3/4 of mixture into 9x13 pan. Pour on cooked rhubarb and sprinkle remaining crumbs on top.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
