1/4 c salad oil
2 c sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c buttermilk
2 t vanilla flavoring
3 cups chopped apples
3 c plain flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 1/2 c chopped nuts
Topping: 1 c brown sugar
1/4 c milk
1 stick butter
Directions:
Directions:
Mix liquid ingredients then stir in flour salt & soda. When mixed add nuts & apples. Pour into a greased & floured tube pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until cake tester comes out clean. Put butter, milk, & sugar in boiler & melt then cook for about 2 1/2 minnutes. Pour this over the cake when right out of oven.
