Ingredients: 1 c. cabernet sauvignon or other dry red wine 1 c. water 1 (16-ounce) package frozen mixed berries 1 orange, thinly sliced 2/3 c. fresh orange juice (about 3 oranges) 1/4 c. sugar 6 orange slices (for garnish)

Directions:Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl (I used a Tupperware bowl with a lid), cover and chill for 8 hours- or overnight if you're lazy like me. Remove orange; discard. Press berry mixture through a sieve (or colander) over a bowl; discard solids. Combine berry mixture, juice and sugar in an 8-inch Pyrex dish, stirring until sugar dissolves. Cover and freeze (about 4 hours). I leave it in the freezer until I'm ready to serve. Use a fork to break it up, and put into the blender. Blend until you have the consistency you like.

Notes: Great for parties! I made it the day before we had guests. Make it last longer by adding it to Aunt Lauri's frozen margaritas!
