4 eggs, 1/2 lb. butter, 2 c. sugar, 2 1/4 c. flour, 2 t. baking powder, 1/4 t. salt, 1/2 t. vanilla, 3/4-1 c. milk, 1 t. nutmeg, 1 t. allspice, 1 t. cinnamon, 1 c. raisins

Mix butter and sugar; add egss, one at a time. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Add milk. Divide batter to make spice cakes. Add to batter the nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and raisins. Pour all batter into pans. Make six thin layers. Bake 15-20 minutes at 375º.
