3 T. butter
3 tsp. onions (chopped)
3 T. flour
1 lg. can of chopped tomatoes
½ tsp. salt
1/3 tsp. sugar
pepper to taste
Dumplings: 1 box of Bisquick, ½ c. grated cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in large pot and sauté onion until translucent. Add flour, stirring until all incorporated and bubbling. Add tomatoes, bring to a simmer and cook slowly until tomatoes are tender. About 20 minutes. Follow directions on Bisquick box for measuring. Add cheddar cheese to dry mix before adding milk. Drop by tablespoons into sauce mixture that is gently bubbling and cook dumplings according to Bisquick’s directions.
