Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 stick butter
1 stick margarine
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Frosting
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, soda, salt, baking powder together; add the butter and margarine and mix like pie crust with pastry blender. In a small bowl beat the eggs and add sugar and vanilla. Pour into flour mixture and mix well. Using your hands makes it easier. The dough will be sticky; cover and refrigerate overnight. Roll out dough on floured surface to whatever thickness you like. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 9 - 11 minutes. Wash the cookie sheet after removing cookies to keep next batch from getting too brown around the edges.
Frosting Directions:
Combine butter, milk and white sugar and bring to boil; boil one minute; cool and add vanilla and powdered sugar. Beat well; add more sugar or more milk depending on desired thickness. This frosting freezes very well.
