Cake:
1 c sugar
1 c butter
2 eggs
3 c flour
pinch of salt
3 tsp baking powder
1 c milk
Topping:
11/2 c brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 c walnuts
Frosting:
1 tbsp butter
1/2 c powdered sugar
1/2 tsp cornstarch
1 tbsp very hot water

Directions:

Cake:
Cream sugar and butter; add eggs and beat. Sift dry ingredients together and alternate adding to the batter with the milk.
Butter 9x13" pan. Pour half of the batter into the pan.
Mix, brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts together and sprinkle half on to the batter.
Add remaining batter and rest of brown sugar mixture. Bake at 375º for 30 minutes.
Mix butter, powdered sugar, cornstarch and hot water together and pour on hot cake as it comes out of the oven.
