1 lb. lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1 medium bell pepper, chopped (1 cup)
3 cups uncooked mafalda (mini-lasagna noodle)
pasta or (6 oz.) wide egg noodles
2 1/2 cups water
1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 (26 oz.) jar pasta sauce or marinara sauce
1 (4 1/2 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained

Directions:

Cook beef, onion and pepper in 4 quart dutch oven. Cook over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain.

Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally; reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered 10 to 12 minute or until pasta is tender.
