1 c. sugar, 1 c. molasses, 3/4 c. oil, 1/2 c. hot water, 2 eggs, 1 t. soda, 1 t. cinnamon, 1 rounded t. ginger, 1/2 t. salt, 1/4 t. cloves, 3-4 dashes nutmeg, 7 c. flour

1. Combine sugar, molasses, oil, and hot water, using hot water to rinse molasses out of cup. Add eggs. Mix dry ingredients and add to wet. Use more flour if needed. Refrigerate dough. Roll out on oiled surface and cut with cookie cutter. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
