Ingredients:
Ingredients:
10-15 lb. Cook’s shank bone-in ham
1 bag light brown sugar
2 liter coca cola
Whole cloves
Corn starch
1 can sliced pineapple (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Place ham on rack in shallow pan. Pour 1/3 bottle coca cola over ham and bake 30-40 min. in 375º oven or until outer skin can be easily cut off. Remove from oven & cut off outer skin. (Leave fat attached & do not cut into meat). Mix bag of brown sugar and rest of coke to make a thick syrup. Push in cloves all over ham, about 1- ½” apart. Drop pineapple slices into bottom of pan if desired. Pour ½ of syrup mixture over ham & bake in 325º oven, basting every 20 minutes. Cook 15 min./lb. Add remaining mixture last 30 minutes. When done, remove from oven and let ham rest 20 minutes before slicing. Meanwhile, drain basting sauce into fry pan, bring to boil, add ½ c. cold water with 3-4 Tbl. cornstarch, whisk in until there are no lumps. This will thicken as it cools and can be served as a ham gravy. Makes a very juicy, tender ham. We served this with thin cooked noodles drizzled with softened cream cheese thinned with some milk.
