1 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. water, the colder the better
dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Blend flour, shortening and salt together. Add water and stir into dough. Roll out on floured board to help make the best pies. If you need to bake the shell by itself, bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.

My Grandma Gretchen taught me to bake pies with this recipe. It's tried and true. Just remember, the colder the water, the better the crust!
