2 tbsp. Crisco
1 cup milk
1 egg
1 pkg. active dry yeast
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 cups BREAD flour
1/4 cup warm water

Directions:
Directions:
Warm Crisco, sugar, salt and milk until Crisco melts. Cool. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Put flour into large bowl and add cooled milk mixture. Beat egg into the yeast/water mixture and add to flour mixture. Combine and knead on floured surface to elastic consistency (dusting with extra flour when needed). Place into a greased large bowl- turning once, cover w/plastic and let rise for 1-2 hours (or until doubled). Roll out on floured surface. Cut with biscuit cutter and brush with butter. Fold over (like pocketbooks) and place side by side in lightly greased pan w/sides. Cover and let rise again.
Bake 400º for 10 mins. Brush tops with butter.
