2 c. all-purpose flour
1 T. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 T. shortening
3/4 c. milk
2/3 c. sugar
1 T. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 c. blackberries
1 T. butter
2 T. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Combine 2 cups flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cut in shortening. Add milk. Mix to soft dough. Roll out to thickness of a pie crust.
Mix 2/3 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon flour and 1/4 teaspoon salt in ovenware pan. Stir in blackberries and butter. Bring to a boil.
Cut pastry into strips and lay across boiling mixture. Sprinkle with remaining sugar.
Bake 30 to 45 minutes.
