3/4 c softened butter or margerine
8 oz softened cream cheese
1 egg- seperated
2 cf lour
6-8 medium apples- peeled, cored, sliced
3/4 c sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamin
2 tps water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter, cream cheese, and egg yolk. Beat until smooth. Add flour, mixing well. chill. Combine apples, sugar, and cinnamin. Cook until tender. Cool. On floured surface, roll out dough. Cut into 4" circles. Add small amount of apples to 1/2 of circle. moisten cut edges with water, fold half of circle ocer filling. Press dough gently to seal cut edges. Crimp edges with fork. Place turnovers on a greased cookie sheet. Blend 2 tsp. of water with egg whites. Brush mixture over tops of turnovers. Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 375º for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and frost or serve with ice cream.
