24 green tomatoes
6 c finely cut cabbage
3 c chopped onion
1 c diced celery
2 green peppers
1 c salt
3 c vinegar
1 c water
2 c white sugar
2 c brown sugar
2 T celery seed
2 T mustard or mustard seed

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and stem tomatoes, cut into very thin slices; measured there should be about 5 qts. Sprinkle layers of tomatoes, cabbage, celery, onions and peppers with salt in container and let stand overnight. Next day, drain veg. well and place in kettle. Heat remaining ingred. to boiling in large pan and pour over veg., cover cook over over med. heat about 15 min. Do not overcook. pack into hot sterilized jars and seal.
