1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
TOPPING
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. dairy sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350ºF. In large bowl, cream together brown sugar and margarine until light and fluffy; blend in vanilla and egg. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Gradually add flour, soda and salt to creamed mixture; mix well. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place 2 inches apart ungreased cookie sheets. With thumb, make imprint in center of each cookie. Combine topping ingredients; fill each cookie with 1 tsp. topping. Bake at 350ºF. for 10 to 14 minutes or until delicately browned.
