1/4 c butter or margarine
1 c sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1/4 c milk
1 c sifted flour
2 tbsp cocoa
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c chopped walnuts



Frosting:
1 1/2 tbsp cocoa
1 tbsp milk
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tsp soft butter or margarine
2/3 cup sifted powdered sugar.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter to soften. Gradually add sugar and vanilla, creaming well. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in milk. Sift together dry ingredients. Stir into creamed mixture Add nuts. Spread in a greased 9 X 9 X 2 pan. Bake at 375º for 20 minutes, or until done. Blend frosting ingredients, and frost cake AT ONCE! Cool cake. Cut into bars. Makes 2 dozen.
