1/2 head lettuce, shredded
1 c. celery, chopped
1 T. minced parsley
2 green onions and tops, shredded thin
1 can mandarin oranges, drained
1/4 c. slivered almonds
2 T. sugar
Dressing:
4 T. salad oil
2 T. cider vinegar
2 T. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. tabasco
1/4 tsp. almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Place in bowl: lettuce, celery, parsley, onions, oranges and
candied almonds. Pour dressing over salad and toss gently.
Candied almonds: In heavy small pan stir 2 T. sugar and
almonds over low heat until sugar melts and almonds are brown
and coated with sugar. Cool on foil.
Dressing: Combine all and shake well.
