2 cups crumbled cornbread
2 1/2 cups Italian breadcrumbs
4 C chicken broth
1/2 c finely chopped celery
3 eggs, well beaten
salt and pepper to taste
1 stick butter, melted
lg onion, finely chopped
1/3 C buttermilk

Mix all ingredients well, but as little as possible. Pour into greased pan. Bake 350 for 1 hr. or until golden brown.

I combined 2 family recipes, and did a little 'tweaking' to get this result. It's our family's favorite dressing, and goes wonderful with chicken! You don't have to wait until Thanksgiving to have dressing!
