1 c. raisins
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter or margarine
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts ( optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook 1 c raisins in 1 1/2 cups water. Let cool.
Cream 1 c. sugar and 1 c. margarine or butter. Add 2 eggs, 1/2 tsp salt.
Mix together flour, soda, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Add flour mixture and raisin juice alternately to the creamed mixture.
Add 2 cups oatmeal , vanilla and nuts
Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 8 minutes
