1 c. raisins
1 C. sugar
1 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cups nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook raisins in 1 1/2 cups water. let cook
Cream 1 cup sugar, 1 c. butter. Add 2 eggs, 1/2 tsp. salt.
Mix together 2 cups flour, baking soda, nut,egg and cinnamon. Add alternately to butter mixture with raisin juice.
Add oatmeal, vanilla and nuts.
Drop on greased cookie sheet
Bake at 375º for 8 minutes
