1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 (15 oz) can stewed tomatoes
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
2 tbsp parsley flakes
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp basil leaves
1/4 tsp Italian seasonings
1/2 tsp salt
Green pepper/mushroom (optional)






1 1/2 tsp oregano leaves
16 oz cottage cheese
1/2 c parmesan cheese
1/2 c parsley flakes
1 1/2 tsp salt mixed with Lawry's seasoned salt


1 box lazagna noodles


3 c mozzarella cheese
parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Simmer first 11 ingredients for 1 hour, until thickened. Reserve 1 cup for the top. Mix next 5 ingredients. In a 9 X 13 pan, layer noodles, meat sauce, cheese mixture, mozzarella cheese. Repeat, ending with layer of noodles. Pour reserved meat mixture on top. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake at 350º for 45 - 60 minutes. Let set for 15 minutes before serving.
