4 c bread cubes (4 to 5 slices)
1/2 c brown sugar
1/4 t salt
1/2 c raisins
2 c milk
1/4 c butter or oleo
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla (optional)
cinnamon (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Spread bread cubes evenly in 8" round dish. Sprinkle evenly with brown sugar, salt, and raisins. Measure milk into 1 qt measuring cup. Add butter. Micro-wave on high for 4 minutes, until butter is melted, and milk is warm. Rapidly stir in eggs with fork. Add vanilla and cinnamon, if desired. Mix well. Pour over bread. Microwave on medium for 9 - 12 minutes, rotating dish 1/2 turn after 6 minutes. When cooked, center may still be slightly soft, but it will set up as it cools. Serve warm or chilled.
