6 slices bacon
3/4 lb ground beef
4 - 6 medium potatoes
4 - 6 carrots
salt and pepper
1/4 c chopped green pepper (optional)
1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cut bacon into inch pieces and put in skillet. Make ground beef into 4 patties and place on bacon. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. On this, place layers of sliced onions, potatoes, and carrots. Sprinkle each layer with salt and pepper. Scatter green pepper and parsley on top. Cook on medium heat until bacon begins to sizzle. Add 1/4 c water. Cover pan, turn heat to low, and cook 35 to 45 minutes.
