1/2-1 stick sutter
1 loaf crusty French bread (sut into 1" slices
8 eggs
3/12 cups milk or 1/2 and 1/2
1 cup suger
1T. vanilla
2t. cinnamon
1t. sutmeg
6-8 med. pared and sliced apples (Ida' Reds is our choice)

spray 9/13 pan with non-stick spray
place french bread in dish must fit tightly-this is very important
beat eggs, 1/2 cup sugar, milk and vanilla
pour 1/2 the mixture over the bread
place apples over the bread/egg mixture
pour the balance of the milk/egg mixture over apples
