1 2-3 lb. boneless chuck roast
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 medium onion, sliced

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line baking dish with foil but allow sides to hang over. Put meat in dish. Place onion soup on top of meat. Pour mushroom soup over top. Put onion slices on top.
Wrap foil around meat and seal so that juices remain inside. Bake for 4 hours. Remove from pan and slice. Serve with gravy that will be in the pan.

This is a favorite and easy dish that is perfect for a winter's meal. Serve with potatoes for a hearty meal. The meat becomes very tender from the long, slow cooking.
