1 1/2 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
1 c. yellow corn meal

Mix together and bake at 350º in a 13x9 pan for 30-45 minutes. Do a toothpick test.

Batter will be somewhat lumpy from the butter, but that's ok. I usually bake the full 45 minutes, but it is depending on your oven.
