1 c. shortening
1 c. sweet milk
3 T. vanilla
2 c. sugar
3 c. self rising flour
6 eggs

2 c. sugar
1 lg can evaporated milk
6 T. cocoa
1-1/2 sticks butter

Bake in 8" aluminum foil layer cake pans which have been sprayed with PAM, using barely enough batter to cover the bottom of pans. Bake 10 minutes in 350º oven. Have the filling ready as you must stack the cake as you bake the layers or they will become brittle and it won't work. Bake one or two at a time, however you can best handle it.

Filling: Mix sugar and coca with enough hot water to make a paste. Add milk and butter. Mix and bring to a boil. Cook just a little longer.
