1 medium head green cabbage, sliced
6 to 8 med. potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 heaping tsp salt
2 to 3 tbsp oleo
1/2 c milk
1/4 tsp black pepper
Sprinkling of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Into a large pan, put cabbage, potatoes, and salt. Cover with enough water so it is just seen when the pan is tipped a little. Cover and cook until tender and done. Drain. Add oleo and about 1/2 c milk. Add pepper and sprinkle on a bit more salt. Mash and mix well. Should be moist, but not wet. Serve with pork sausage or beef.
